Not minor

It has been a hapless, hopeless Saturday afternoon of me discovering the “Unsent Letters” section of Reddit and scouring them, perhaps as any curious reader would do, and think “Jesus, this says “Dear C.” - someone write this about me?” And then some mundane detail like “that time we were at the car wash” splashes out and alas, no such memory like this exists. and I feel a little less special, a little less remembered, at least in the world of lonely redditors.
Sniffle.
First of all, what doesn’t matter the most in my life is all that I just mentioned.
What DOES matter much more is that I have made an “A” so far in my first class at Tech! This was Technical Writing. which was in danger of slipping to a B.
What matters the MOST (I’m all out of order here) is that Victoria magazine, which is sort of for dainty posh refined rich older women, purchased an 800 word essay/story of mine. They paid me double what I was expecting! For 3 1/2 of total work on this piece of writing, I easily made more a day or two at my real job. Shocking. For only 800 words!
This is the real pivot point - each issue of Victoria magazine has 200,000 copies PRINTED and a calculated “audience” of almost 1 million people (website visits, social media followers, etc).
This is not minor. I’m very excited. It’ll be out in stores in 2027.
I have a random headache. More later.
