Tired, numb, disillusioned, paralyzed. Another day. An event I’m supposed to go to tonight hangs in the air - it will be bright, happy, it will be a lot of things. Here is the bed, I am laying in it. Here are my legs. Unmoving. Covered by a purple blanket. I am still. The room is silent. The air conditioner wheezes. The light is off. Go to it? Stay? Unclear. The weight of the time I’ve wasted freezes me in place. I should care now. Care about something. Do the dishes. Do something, anything at all. I feel as if I am a mummy. This is all that is here. A girl in a room. Empty, blank, heavy, wasted, frozen. I need something. Noise. Light. What?

Go. Move. In time this thing, this thing I am ruminating over, will be nothing. Mean nothing. It never did. Once again. So what? Foolish, wasted girl. Empty in a room.
