Tired, drained, strained, exhuberant, gracious, loved, awestruck, and occasionally bored. Among other things. It's been awhile. Not too much has changed. I'd say that's good! Steadiness is my friend, though im still occasionally haunted by the usual sticky pests - what can I say? Life isn't a game of candy land (or a game at all, and those who try to act like it is usually end up losing.) - grief, debt... I'm honest, but i'd rather not count out my sorrows. Not anymore.

Mal had a vet appointment 3 weeks ago. Clean bill of health per the bloodwork. That's been the most exciting event of the last 2 months, followed by a close second - Moulin Rouge last Friday (the musical at Fair Park!) Singing, dancing, sparkly outfits, banter and commentary alongside my best friend. I even refrained from purchasing a concert tshirt even though they were very chic (there's MY gold star for the evening).

Can't believe how many times I left the house for.... real actives in March. On top of last Friday's Moulin Rouge, I got my hair highlighted Saturday and then got my left tragus pierced (medium ouch!!) Sunday at The Pin Cushion in Frisco (love that place. Female owned businesses > everything else that men do) . I also to the North Texas Irish Festival solo at the beginning of March. I think I was the only person who wandered around alone from what I could tell. There was food galore (most of it was of the NON Irish variety, but you gotta keep the people happy I guess), music, vendors, dance schools... it was fun yet made me feel so acutely aware of how small I've let my circle become. Circle is the wrong word. I feel like I have 2 close friends left. Triangle?? Oh god. The only association I have with triangles is the Bermuda Triangle. COOL OMEN, LADIES?!

I also saw Scream 6. It was sloppy, preposterous, bloody/disgusting FUN. I blasted the Demi Lovato song that played during the end credits all the way home. STILL ALIVE. What a jam.

All I did tonight was watch my brother and Frasier. Puttered around somewhat uselessly. I slept till noon. Tomorrow is a blank slate. Very blank, much slate. I should go to Panera and write, and I should spend the rest of tonight reading. Frasier made me sad - love triangle episode. I hate those ones even though I know this storyline resolves happily.

Until we meet again.
